Ground Beef Lasagna

1 lb. Crestview Farms ground beef

1 lb. salt and pepper sausage

2 jars of your favorite pasta sauce

1 -24 oz. container of low-fat cottage cheese

1 c. grated parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons of dried basil

2 tablespoons dried minced onion

2 eggs

1 box of lasagna noodles

3-4 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Spray cooking spray on the bottom and sides of a 13 x 20 pan (anything you have that’s larger than a 9x13).  Brown ground beef, sausage and dried onion until cooked through.  Drain fat and add pasta sauce.  In a separate bowl, mix eggs, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese and basil.  Add a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles to cover the bottom of the pan, then add a layer of the sauce mixture (using ½).  Add half of the cottage cheese mixture of the top of the sauce layer.  Then add half of the mozzarella cheese.  Repeat layers again.  Fill both empty pasta sauce jars ¾ of the way full with water and shake to get all the sauce.  Pour the water and sauce into the corners of the pan.  Let the lasagna sit overnight and cook the next day covered with foil at 350 degrees for atleast an hour.  Remove foil and bake until the cheese is all melted and edges are starting to brown.  Serve with salad and garlic bread.
